Issues with Existing Features

Firstly, a big vote of thanks to all the pre-beta testers who are spending their valuable time to test-ride SheepStop. Please report any issues/bugs/shortcomings of the existing functionalities here. We will take them up and resolve them asap. Please do not hesitate to point out the smallest of the issues eg. an extra space, a mis-spelt word, a non-functional link, or a suggestion for a better background color. On the other hand global suggestions about the website as a whole eg. navigation is diffcult, casino layout is too cluttered etc. are also important to us. So please feel free to share them here and participate in the discussion. Also please mention the browser in which you found the issue so that it will be easier for us to debug the same.

Steps to reproduce issue 2: 1. Log in browser one, and copy the URL from address bar 2. Paste it into another browser. (Note that I am not logged in this browser) 3. It shows my details "sadya is a RAM...." etc., but if you look at the right upper corner, it shows "login" button. My details should not be shown until I successfully log in. I am sending separate email of screenshots

Steps to reproduce the issue: 1. Log in two instances of same user in different browser windows. 2. First user select "Bright Yellow" tee 3. Second User will empty bag 4. Go to first browser instance and refresh the browser. It still displays bag with selected tee.

can c the alt text now, but font colour for 'Submit Designs' text is white while rest all being black.

edit profile: try this (checked on chrome and firefox). on ur first login, choose the browser remember password. next, go to the profile edit page. the 'Old Password' field shud auto populate. make some minor changes in say the telephone no. now save the page. the page gets saved, and u c a message 'Password change successful.' ur password gets accidentally changed to BLANK. now when u go back to the edit profile page, u will c the 'Old Password' field populated again. make some changes in the telephone no, and save the page. u will get the msg 'Old password not correct. Password change not successful.' on saving. this is coz the browser still has ur first password in the 'Old Password' field.

@swap that's a plausible explanation, do let me know of any other quirks chrome may exhibit as most of our testing has been on IE and Firefox

@dcube yes, u hit the nail ther. i'm using chrome, and as soon as i get on the edit profile page, it fill the old password field with my password (remember password feature). so when i submit, the old password field is not empty and thus the error. u shud chk this on other browsers as well, with remember password enabled.

@swap can you try and replicate that error again ? I tried at my end and it works fine. If all three fields for password are empty it should not try to change the password, and hence should not give you that error.

profile edit: i changed phone no on the profile page and submitted the page (without editing the info in password section), then it gave me the error 'Old password not correct. Password change not successful.'. dunno if its a bug or i'm required to remember and re-enter my password details again.

shopping and shipping process: after having placed an order, on the 'Thanks for your order!' page where pass me my order no, i clicked back. it took me to the 'Temporary Payment Page' where i again clicked 'Confirm Order' button. the second order did not get process, however, i received a second email of processing. in my opinion, you shud also not allow ppl to go back to the prev page using the back button. ICICI bank will throw u off if u use the back button anywhere on their website after having logged in - but that seems harsh. you need to find a middle ground.

@swap sessions do expire when an user logs off or when the browser window is closed. we do no store any information in cookies so the next person who tries to order will not be able to view/use any of your details. also the payment information in your profile is actually for receiving payments and not for making payments. we do not store any credit card information / netbanking information at our end and all these transactions will be over a secure network and will be completely handled by CCAvenue.

@bhagyashri i agree with ur train of thot, however, consider this. i'm on a public computer, say like cyber cafe. i login to ur website, i order, i log off. here, since u r taking my account details on my profile page and tagging them with my login, i assume u won't be asking them while i am ordering. now suppose u login in from the same pc, come to this website, and place an order using an alternate addr? will it or won't it allow u? in my opinion, session shud expire as soon as the user logs off when it comes to online transactions, to give the user a peace of mind.

@swap shopping without logging in has been enabled on purpose. there could be case when someone just wants to buy a tee, and while we do encourage it, we do not want to enforce creation of an account for that purpose.
